GUILT FEELINGS AND FEELING LESS

I believe all of us go through alot of feelings each and every day. Society, friends and family has a huge impact on it too. We can often get caught up in a life that not “you” want to live but either a life others expect you to live. Well, I can speak out of experience. I’ve lived for people too long, however I also learnt alot and God still loves me and knew I would find myself at the right time and the right way. I am happy for who I am today, I’ve always loved myself enough to know I should make the right decisions irrespective hurting some people in the process. Hurting not because of ill feelings or hate, but because a person need to do what’s best for yourself and the people you love.

GUILT FEELINGS

I’ve learnt “guilt” is not from God. We need to accept our failures, our mistakes and learn from them. To forgive and to move on is the best for your Health. If you are stuck because of guilt feelings today, pray about it and write down what makes you feel that way. Erase what’s keeping you back and take that step to making a good change for yourself. The moment you going to make that Good Change you’ll feel so relieved and Happy! I can remember when I decided to do what makes me Happy, it is a WOW feeling!! You’ll feel free and clean from the inside!

ACCEPT WHAT YOU CAN AND CAN’T DO AND STILL LOVE YOURSELF

I am a very bad cook and I am not shy to say it, I do sometimes try. Recently I tried to bake muffins… and believe me even if it’s the ready made mix I just can’t get it right. But I don’t feel bad about it I laugh about it and can speak about it freely. The people tend to tell me wow you’re terrible,  the other day I told a lady I can’t make soup and she kind of got upset at me, but I don’t care, I am good at  other things. God has blessed me with a husband that loves cooking.

Celebrate with what you’re good at, not what people expect you to be. God gave us all gifts and it differs. One thing we can do is shift our mindsets when it comes to living a Healthy lifestyle. I believe it is quite difficult for people who didn’t grow up like that. I am someone who don’t believe in using salt when making food, where it is quite difficult for my husband so we will always differ when it comes to that. But I know he tries and do make changes when it comes to buying healthy foods and I love him for that.

Lets start making a change at home then we take it outside. As long as  it is for a Good cause there can be no harm.

CRAVINGS AND NOT BEING PERFECT

Healthy people get Cravings too

When you’re focused on your health, striving everyday to do what’s right for you it is quite difficult to get lost in Unhealthy Habits.

When I say ‘Healthy People’ it doesn’t  mean ‘Perfect People’. We just know what is right for our bodies, lifestyle. It is about being realistic and focused on your needs and not wants. To know what’s right is actually not that difficult because our experience got us where we are. Making Good decisions!

Do you really need to eat a take away burger with a soda for lunch??? A chocolate as a snack and 4 cups of coffee/cappuccinos on top of that the famous packets of chips…. every time I hear the opening of a soda can, or seeing people eating take aways each and every day!! It is really killing me I must be honest.

I do get cravings too, yes,  Cravings for a warm cup of lemon water or tea; peanuts as a snack; a lovely stirfry for dinner or even lunch; paella; I love pastas with lots of veggies!!! yum yum. And do not leave out the fact that I always crave to Exercise!!! YES call me crazy but I use every opportunity I get to exercise for example: Doing scissors while in bed, sit ups and my favourite is Squats yes I do them before bathing, when I am busy in kitchen, when I am at work I do it with every bathroom break hehehe

When it comes to UNHEALTHY CRAVINGS it can be stopped. YES, being a ex hot chips lover I experienced lately the craving for nice salty, vinegary hot chips and I just simply did not give in to it. I know what that does to a person’s Health. Not only do you gain alot of  unnecessary  fat, but it has an affect on your health over all.

Lets face it, eating all that nice UNHEALTHY foods is nice, it is YUM but for how long???

Do you gain any good benefits from it?? NO! I know what that can do to a person, you become lazy, slobby, moody and unhappy. You’ll try to cheer yourself up by making excuses not to make a good change, you’ll start judging everyone that’s trying to live a good and healthy lifestyle, you’ll start disliking everyone that’s trying to help you and yet you are your worst enemy. ADMIT, ACCEPT and IMPLEMENT.

Now I want you to ask  yourself  what bad is going to come to you when you exercise daily, eating Healthy every day, getting in the right amount of Nutrients every day.

My husband bought me this book called CRAVING GOD and I love it. Yesterday I read  the first Devotion/Story and I was touched. It tells how much God loves us for who we are no matter what.

A lady  had a long struggle with losing weight on her journey toward Health. Her friend saw a before and after photo of her and this lady’s young son came in, that is when she told the son “wow can you believe that was your mom she lost so much weight, doesn’t she look great” the son looked back and forth very confused.. and answered: “they both look like Mamma to me”

Auwww, it brought tears to my eyes. Is it not the most beautiful story. It is just the way GOD loves us for who we are, doesn’t matter how we look, but he also love us enough to be patient with us as we go through our struggles. He knows we will succeed and get through things. It doesn’t matter what your Health struggle is at the moment, as long as you are trying to work towards a better you, doesn’t matter how long it takes. Always remember you are still loved, you can still be a happy you when your focus is on YOU.

Motivate and Not Intimidate

The Challenge of expressing yourself

I’ve always been someone who cares alot of how I look, how I carry myself out there.. managing my weight and trying to stay fir from a very young age.

As I grew older I’ve learnt more of what it really is to live a healthy lifestyle, by following popular Health experts, Health Magazines, Health Blogs ect. Especially after becoming a mommy 🙂

I love helping others, especially women. It can be quite challenging as I am experiencing it more lately because I decided to make this my career. I only speak out of experience and I think when you get advice from people who has experience in something it is worth listening and to get inspired. However, not everyone see things or life the way I do. People, mostly friends and worst of all even family don’t really want to listen to what you have to say when it comes to giving advice or even just sharing your wonderful experience of becoming a better person.

I get answers like: it’s not my thing, I’m not really interested in that stuff, I don’t exercise..  At work people watch what you eat too, someone saw me eating weetbix porridge as a afternoon snack, as I answered “yes I know it looks weird but I like having it as a snack” This person actualy got offended and told me I don’t have to show off with my snack. But I don’t get offended by what they have to say, deep down I still believe I can make a change and won’t stop trying and won’t stop being me.  I can name so many. They’ll tell you “you’re doing good” “you look good” but they don’t really care what you have to say, just because they know me??? Lol Soon I am going to start my studies to become a professional and I am excited to make a good change in others lives.

But I know somewhere out there is that one person who gets inspired, who wants to make a good change towards  Healthy  Living. My goal is to Inspire, Motivate, Share, Express and help others achieve their Health Goals.

So lets stay Fit and Healthy at Home!!!

The Fear of gaining Weight

Counting how and what you eat

I’ve experienced/noticed lately that I sometimes do starve myself because of my fears of gaining weight every day. I ‘ve read a article in the WomansHealthMagazine where they spoke about having a Eating Disorder…. well as hard as it is to admit, I use to have it. A person sometimes try to justify your actions. I use to curb my hunger by drinking alot of coffee while at work. I just had to admit to myself there is nothing healthy about starving yourself. Eating a bowl of porridge in the morning, snack on a apple and banana, maybe eating a piece of chicken or two boiled eggs for lunch. When it’s supper time I’m too scared to eat a plate of food and replace it with three table spoons of oats porridge.

Eat Healthy everyday

I am not someone who likes fast foods, sweets, chocolates, sodas etc. BUT my coffee addiction is just as bad.

I do strive to live a Healthy and Nutritious lifestyle everyday. That’s why it is so important to know what I eat everyday and how I eat. So, counting the nutritional intake everyday works much better, because I experience less Headaches , dizziness.

One of the reasons I decided to take action and admit to my Eating Disorder is because it had a impact on my daily exercise routine. I would come home feeling dizzy and having headaches because I didn’t eat right whole day. Being a mother and wife, coming home getting ready to make food, see that my son’s needs are met, also my husband’s and the house needs too. Then I have to look at time management as I need to fit in my workout, update some blogging….. and it is quite challenging Most of the time.

So what do anxious Mandy do… drink a cup of tea to get in some sugar and 15min later jump on to my exercise mat and do some workouts. Well nothing about that sound right…

It isn’t always easy just to admit to your wrongs like this all the time, but that’s what I want to do, I want to share my experiences to everyone out  there and show people no one is perfect, but as long as you admit, take action, make a good change in your life then there is nothing wrong.

We need to start realising how important our health is, checking our health status regularly and just take that small steps everyday to better ourselves.
